Havamal Snippets 34: Many friends make light work

It's Wednesday (Woden/Odin's Day) which means that it's time for another verse from the Havamal 'Sayings of the High One - Odin'. The poem full of wisdom, both everyday and ethereal. (The poem can be found in full HERE):

34. Long is and indirect the way
to a bad friend’s,
though by the road he dwell;
but to a good friend’s
the paths lie direct,
though he be far away.

Having friends eases your burden. 'Many friends make light work'. Those with fewer friends, though they may be endowed with greater material and/or immaterial wealth, will find a journey harder.
